It's been a while since I wrote!!! I've been super sick. Twice! I had a really bad cold which I'm sure was bronchitis. And then I had the most horrible flu ever... I ended up in the hospital because I was so severely dehydrated. I ended up with tachycardia and had to be hooked up to a heart monitor, and received three bags of fluids, plus medicines to stop me from vomiting finally. That meant that I missed almost two full weeks in the gym.
I tried a new class called TRX. OMG it is hardcore! I can't even believe how incredibly hard it was. I felt weak, and my body felt a little like jello at the end. But, I felt amazing.. It was one of those I can accomplish anything moments. It's on my list to do again for sure.
I managed to make it to the gym 5 days this week, and I signed up for a race. I'm super excited and it gives me some goals to push towards also. It's called a bubble run. Basically they fill huge pits full of colored foam that you run through. It's a 5k, so that's going to be awesome.. The electric run is coming as well, so I'm going to sign up for that as soon as it opens to buy tickets. I signed up as a VIP so I'll get first dibs on the cheap tickets.
Yesterday, my workout was probably the most intense one yet! I use this machine (that I'm convinced was created by the devil), and it was so freaking hard, I could barely move it! I sweat more than I think I've ever have during a workout.. like just soaked. I remember hating sweating when I was younger. I love it now. It shows that I worked hard, and pushed myself and accomplished something.
Today it's really nice out, so I'm going to go out to take a sauna at the gym to try and fight this cold that is trying to come on once again, and clean my house. I might try to fit in an outside run, depending on if I can talk my hubby and my kids into getting outside and getting some fresh air. They are all sick right now.. I can't wait for the spring and summer to come so there isn't so much crap going around for us all to keep catching!!
